Vermaat & Käfer's Tailor Made Catering (TMC) takes over catering services for the Olympia Business Center (OBC)

»» OBC first location of TMC in the Bavarian capital
»» "Food as a lifestyle" approach will set new standards in Munich
»» Innovative office building already 50 % let after revitalization

(Munich, February 11, 2020) Co-Working & Co-Eating - the success story of the Olympia Business Center (OBC) revitalization project continues in the new year. With V&K Tailor Made Catering (TMC), the joint venture between Bayern Projekt and Europa Capital has now been able to win one of the most innovative caterers for the office complex on Georg-Brauchle-Ring with a total of 38,000 square metres of rental space. TMC is a joint venture of the internationally active Vermaat Group and the Munich-based catering specialist Feinkost Käfer in the business and leisure catering sector. In the Olympia Business Center, TMC will be responsible for the complete catering of the building with market hall on a total area of around 2,000 square meters, for which both the State Office of Criminal Investigation and the Munich Public Utilities Company recently signed long-term rental agreements. Sven Renz, Managing Partner of the Bayern Projekt Group: "The core idea of the Olympia Business Center is to offer the working environments of tomorrow today - and this naturally includes first-class, forward-looking and special catering services. We are therefore very pleased that we were able to convince TMC, a caterer for our project that combines both worlds: the international experience of the Vermaat Group in supplying multinational companies and premium customers - including those from the modern tech sector - with the traditional first-class approach of the Munich-based caterer Käfer.

To this end, TMC has now signed a long-term contract for the space on the ground floor of the Olympia Business Center. The move in and start of operations is currently planned for spring 2020. "The OBC is one of Munich's most modern and forward-looking office buildings and embodies Working & Eating of tomorrow. We are very pleased to be part of this exciting concept with TMC," says André van Rooijen, Director of TMC's joint venture partner Vermaat. Dr. Stephan Thewalt, member of the board of the second TMC joint venture partner Käfer adds: "As a company with Munich roots, we naturally have the ambition to be the service partner of leading real estate complexes in the Bavarian capital. That is why we are happy to accept the challenge of providing exceptional service for an exceptional property".

Innovative spaces as a concept
The special concept of the Olympia Business Center is reflected in various aspects: On the one hand, in the highly flexible possibilities of space allocation, from solitary solutions to individual wings of the building to individual offices or a multifunctional co-working casino with roof terraces, on the other hand in the forward-looking co-eating concept. Large companies or start-ups - in the Olympia Business Center, tenant target groups of all kinds will find the perfect office and perfect service. Markus Turrek, Managing Director of Bayern Projekt GmbH: "We are very pleased about the continued leasing success and especially about the fact that we were able to win one of the leading and most innovative gastronomy operators. We pay particular attention to our tenants and their employees with the literally lovingly and individually designed gastronomy worlds, not only for two hours at noon, but virtually all day long - from the first breakfast in the morning at 7 a.m. to the late-night snack at 10 p.m. late in the evening". TMC's tailor-made gastronomy concept is based on three pillars that merge into a special overall experience: first-class culinary offerings for every taste, humanity and hospitality, and an ambience in which one feels at home.

Almost half leased
In the course of the revitalization, Bayern Projekt and Europa Capital have already been able to attract renowned major tenants within a very short time. According to the current status, almost 50 % of the rental space has been marketed with the two users, the State Office of Criminal Investigation and the Munich Public Utility Company - further promising talks are currently underway with potential tenants. The joint venture partners Bayern Projekt and Europa Capital acquired the Olympia Business Center in 2017 and have extensively revitalized it over the past two years. The open building blocks on Georg-Brauchle-Ring in the Moosach district are surrounded by a park-like inner courtyard with green spaces and terraces, inviting you to linger. On the ground floor there is a market hall, which combines TMC gastronomy and trend-setting meeting zones. In addition, certification according to LEED Gold and Wired Score is targeted for this property due to its special quality in the areas of efficiency, energy and digital infrastructure.
