»» High-rise ensemble in the east of Munich Milestone in the recent history of the city
Munich, August 2020 - After more than 15 years of planning, development and construction, the Bayern Projekt Group successfully completes the mega-project BAVARIA TOWERS in the east of the Bavarian capital Munich. With SILTRONIC AG, another worldwide leading company has now secured space in the four-part high-rise ensemble. The wafer expert has signed a lease for 1,350 sqm in the Blue Tower, which means that one of the most spectacular construction projects in recent city history is now fully let. Sven Renz, managing partner of Bayern Projekt: "This deal is a milestone in several respects. It officially seals the success of an unprecedented project. Moreover, there is probably no other property in Munich that concentrates international market leaders in a similar way. Above all, however, because the BAVARIA TOWERS have already developed into what they should always be in the few months since completion: Munich's new landmark in the east of the city."
SAMSUNG, NVIDIA, BayernHeim, Golding Capital Partners, Ipsen Pharma, Biogen, ALLGEIER - with SILTRONIC AG, which employs around 4,000 people worldwide, another market leader has now joined the ranks of top-class users. The company is moving its headquarters from Hanns-Seidel-Platz to the 72-metre high Blue Tower on Einsteinstraße, the second highest tower in the four-part ensemble. SILTRONIC AG has signed a long-term ten-year lease for this purpose. In addition to its headquarters in Munich, the company maintains locations and sales offices worldwide, from Portland (USA) to Singapore, from Milan (Italy) to Tokyo (Japan).
All processes successfully implemented
With the arrival of the last tenants, all processes of the ensemble and the entire area have now been successfully implemented. All service units, such as the high-quality staff casino or innovative services such as the 24-hour shop, are running essentially smoothly despite the restrictions imposed by the Corona pandemic, and offer a new dimension of comfort for companies, employees and visitors. Markus Turrek, Managing Director of Bayern Projekt GmbH: "The services of BAVARIA TOWERS are our USP. That is why we are very pleased that our tenants are able to use the infrastructure, catering and work-life offers even in the current situation". This includes, for example, the Kids Campus in the Sky Tower. The day care centre operated by Denk mit! is one of the most beautiful in the city and offers 1,400 sqm of kindergarten and crèche group places, not only for users but also for residents. Since its opening a year ago, the 4-star Hyperion Hotel in the White Tower has also become one of Munich's most successful buildings.
Next chapter in planning
With the completion of this project of the Bayern Projekt Group, a new chapter of Munich's city history has now come full circle. The ensemble was the first major high-rise project approved in Munich for a long time: 60,000 sqm of rental space, four spectacular high-rise buildings, a hotel, a newly developed traffic concept for the eastern part of Munich and all in all years of work by a highly motivated team are the bottom line of the successful project, which was launched by the initiator and developer Bayern Projekt Gruppe together with the two investor partners Von der Heyden Group and Zurich Gruppe Deutschland. Several years ago, Swiss Life had already purchased the White Tower hotel tower - the Blue Tower was only recently acquired by Real I.S. AG for a fund of the Bavarian Chamber of Pensions (BVK). The focus will remain on selected landmark projects within the Bavarian capital.
